
During a ceremony marking the 50th anniversary of dental services in the Maldives, Vice President Al-Usthaadh Hussain Mohamed Latheef stated that the government accords high priority to ensuring that every citizen has easy access to high-quality dental care.
To reduce the current dependency on the capital, Malé, efforts are underway to establish dental units across 15 atolls. Furthermore, the Vice President announced the decision to establish a new dental laboratory by the year 2026. Highlighting the importance of public awareness regarding oral health, he urged professionals in the field to strive toward transforming dental services into a modern, regionally recognized standard.
