President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu assumed office with a steadfast commitment to working closely with the public. Central to his policy is the principle of making decisions informed by the people’s voices. In line with this approach, the President has visited numerous islands across the Maldives over the past months, engaging directly with local communities and island councils. As a result of these consultations, several projects have been refined to align with public feedback, and proactive measures are being taken to address the challenges faced by the citizens.
In addition to engaging with local residents, the President has also reached out to Maldivians living abroad to listen to their concerns. To ensure that public grievances are addressed effectively, a dedicated team has been established. Furthermore, the administration has decided to launch a special program titled “Rannveinge Gaathah” (Close to the Citizens), designed to provide individuals with the opportunity to meet directly with the President. This administration also prioritizes transparency, ensuring that government information is openly shared through regular press briefings and podcasts.
