The Maldives Monetary Authority (MMA) is scheduled to conduct a survey at Velana International Airport from the 25th to the 31st of this month to assess the expenditure patterns of Maldivians traveling abroad. This survey is a key component in the compilation of Balance of Payments statistics and aims to gather data regarding travel purposes and related expenses.
The MMA assures the public that no personal identifiable information will be collected during this process. To ensure the accuracy and quality of the data, the Authority requests the full cooperation of Maldivians returning from overseas during the survey period.
