President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has extended his heartfelt congratulations to the newly elected President of Bangladesh, Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir. In his message, the President expressed his confidence that the long-standing bilateral relations between the Maldives and Bangladesh will continue to flourish during the new term. Mr. Alamgir, a seasoned political leader from the BNP, was elected to the presidency by a significant parliamentary majority following the resignation of former President Mohammed Shahabuddin.
