The Maldives has welcomed 1.3 million tourists so far this year, with female travelers aged 25 to 34 constituting the largest demographic. Statistics indicate that female visitors outnumber males across all age groups, with the exception of those aged 65 and above. The leading source markets for these arrivals are China, Russia, and the United Kingdom. Although the total number of tourist arrivals for the year has seen a 3% decrease compared to the same period last year, arrivals for the current month have recorded a 2.6% increase over the previous year.
