The Maldives Police Service has launched special training exercises in preparation for the Local Council and Women’s Development Committee elections scheduled for April 4th. According to the authorities, the final phase of the training exercises under “Operation Blue-Ray” will be conducted today across Male’ and the atolls. These activities are scheduled to take place between 08:00 and 16:00.
During this period, there will be an increased presence of police personnel and vehicles on the streets as various security-related drills are carried out. The Maldives Police Service stated that these exercises are designed to assess operational readiness and enhance the coordination of their efforts ahead of the upcoming elections.
