President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has expressed full confidence in the successful recovery of state assets and funds lost due to corruption. Highlighting the importance of synergy between state institutions and the judiciary to achieve this objective, the President revealed that work is currently underway to draft an “Asset Recovery” bill. Furthermore, to prevent future corruption, the President assured that institutions would be further empowered, services would be digitized, and a transparent system would be established under the “Maldives 2.0” framework.
