The People’s National Congress (PNC) has achieved a clean sweep in the local council and Women’s Development Committee (WDC) elections held in B. Kendhoo and R. Fainu. This significant victory for the PNC includes winning the seat in the birthplace of the current Kendhoo constituency Member of Parliament. Furthermore, PNC candidates secured the presidency of the Fainu Council along with other key positions. According to the provisional results released by the Elections Commission, the ruling PNC has obtained full majorities in both the island councils and the Women’s Development Committees of these two islands.
