President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has today appointed Mohamed Hussain Shareef as the Chief Government Spokesperson at the President’s Office, at the rank of Minister. Mr. Shareef is a seasoned professional who has previously served in various high-level ministerial and diplomatic roles, including prior tenures as a spokesperson and in key communications positions at the President’s Office. Most recently, he served as the Ambassador of the Maldives to the United Arab Emirates.
