President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu yesterday appointed Hassan Rashid, who previously served as the State Minister for Housing, to the position of Minister of Defence. During the ceremony held at the President’s Office, Hassan Rashid was officially sworn into office by Supreme Court Justice Dr. Mohamed Ibrahim, following which he signed the oath of office.
