President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has officially rebranded the “Ministry of Defence” as the “Ministry of Defence and National Service.” Following this change, the ministry will be formally identified in Dhivehi as “Dhivehi Dhifaaee adhi Watanee Khidhumathaabehey Vuzaaraa.” Although this restructuring was enacted under the executive powers vested in the President by the Constitution, the official numbering used in government correspondence for the ministry will remain unchanged.
