
The government is currently preparing to submit a total of 12 bills to the Parliament during the ongoing and upcoming sessions. Key legislation includes bills focused on Data Protection, Cyber Security, Digital Transformation, and Digital Identity. Additionally, the government plans to introduce new laws concerning Immigration and Uninhabited Islands, as well as amendments to the Education Act.
According to the Attorney General, the legislative agenda also includes amendments to the Political Parties Act, the introduction of a Mental Health Bill, and the formulation of a specialized law regarding the implementation of the death penalty. Furthermore, constitutional amendments are proposed concerning the composition of the Judicial Service Commission (JSC) and the total number of Parliamentary members.
