The Privatization and Corporatization Board (PCB) has announced the dismissal of Major (Retired) Mohamed Najah from his positions as Managing Director and Board Member of Fenaka Corporation. Najah was appointed to the role in December last year, following the resignation of Muaz Mohamed Rasheed.
While the PCB did not specify the exact grounds for his removal, the decision follows intense public criticism over the company’s inability to resolve ongoing electricity crises in Addu City. Despite his long-standing military background, it is widely believed that Najah was relieved of his duties due to a failure to effectively manage the corporation’s responsibilities and address critical utility issues.
