Under the Boduthakurufaanu Magu development project on the northern side of Malé, MTCC is currently working on the 700-meter segment stretching from the Presidential Jetty to the Henveiru Ferry Terminal. A significant milestone has been reached with the completion of sheet piling across a 143-meter stretch to facilitate the construction of the quay wall.
Designed to enhance road capacity and improve traffic flow, the project encompasses the installation of a comprehensive drainage system, asphalt paving, sidewalk construction, and the installation of street lighting. The earlier completion and opening of the segment from Izzudheen Jetty to the North Harbor has already significantly eased travel and reduced congestion for the public in that area.
