Minister of Economic Development and Trade, Mohamed Saeed, has announced that four additional markets have been secured for cement imports to address the ongoing supply challenges in the Maldives. This initiative, carried out in collaboration with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, aims to ensure a continuous and uninterrupted supply of essential construction materials, mitigating the impact of any potential disruptions in existing markets. While cement prices had previously experienced a significant surge, these strategic measures by the government have effectively eased supply constraints and led to a downward trend in market prices.
