In her message on the occasion of the Maldives’ 61st Independence Day, First Lady Sajidha Mohamed emphasized that the foremost duty of every citizen is to educate future generations about the profound sacrifices made by our ancestors to preserve the blessing of independence. Furthermore, she highlighted the vital importance of nurturing a youth generation characterized by patriotism, courage, academic excellence, and moral integrity. The First Lady also urged all citizens to work collectively to ensure the enduring sovereignty of the nation.
