The Minister of Tourism, Thoriq Ibrahim, has stated that the number of daily flight cancellations has decreased, and seat occupancy for airlines operating to the Maldives has significantly improved. The Minister highlighted that although there was a slight decline in tourist arrivals this past March, airline seat occupancy has risen from 65 percent last year to 70 percent this year. Notably, major airlines such as Aeroflot, Virgin Atlantic, and Turkish Airlines have seen a substantial growth in their occupancy rates. According to the Minister, this trend demonstrates the robust and sustained demand for travel to the Maldives.
