The Minister of Economic Development and Trade, Mohamed Saeed, has emphasized that national economic growth can only be realized through collective unity, regardless of differing political ideologies. Speaking at the opening ceremony of the Addu Business Dialogue, the Minister highlighted that a strategic roadmap outlining the developmental initiatives for Addu City over the next three years will be formulated. This document, which aims to address and resolve the challenges faced by the business community, will be submitted to the Cabinet for further action.
These efforts are a pivotal component of President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu’s vision to transform the Maldives into a developed nation by the year 2040. The Minister further noted that the active participation and collaboration of the government, local councils, state institutions, and private sector stakeholders are essential to achieving these national objectives.
