The Deputy Speaker of the Parliament, Ahmed Nazim, was removed from the ruling People’s National Congress (PNC) Parliamentary Group’s WhatsApp group today. The PNC has not yet disclosed a specific reason for his removal from the group, where President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu serves as an administrator.
Despite circulating rumors regarding a potential no-confidence motion against Nazim in the Parliament, the PNC Parliamentary Group Leader has officially denied such claims. This move comes shortly after Nazim was also removed from two of the most influential parliamentary committees: the 241 Committee (National Security Services Committee) and the Public Accounts Committee.
