Ahmed Mohamed Appointed as Commissioner of Police

Ahmed Mohamed, a veteran with over 30 years of distinguished service in the institution, has been appointed as the new Commissioner of the Maldives Police Service. His appointment follows the retirement of Ismail Naveen, emerging as the preferred candidate among three applicants for the post.

The new Commissioner brings extensive expertise in both operational and investigative fields. He holds advanced qualifications in Shari’ah and has completed professional military training abroad.
