The Central Power Station project, aimed at providing a permanent solution to the electricity challenges in Addu City, has been officially inaugurated. In alignment with the President’s pledge, the project has been contracted to Definite Solutions and will utilize state-of-the-art Belgian ABC brand low-speed engines.
Targeted for completion by next year, the project will increase Addu’s power generation capacity to 26.37 megawatts, which will also facilitate improvements in water and sewerage services. Furthermore, this initiative includes the completion of Fenaka’s office buildings in Addu, ensuring a more conducive and efficient working environment for employees.
