The Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) has been appointed to operate the government’s newly introduced “Male Taxi” service, with the hotline number 1655 established for all service-related inquiries. This 24-hour taxi service will utilize eco-friendly electric vehicles and will be accessible to the public through a dedicated mobile application. To facilitate these operations, MTCC is currently conducting walk-in interviews to recruit 407 drivers. Featuring a fleet of three different vehicle sizes, the primary objective of this taxi line is to provide a reliable, convenient, and efficient transportation system for the public.
