Authorities have apprehended two women, aged 25 and 29, in connection with an attempt to smuggle over one kilogram of narcotics into the Maldives via air. One suspect was detained at Velana International Airport (VIA), while the second individual was arrested during a targeted operation conducted in Hulhumalé.
The court has ordered both suspects to be remanded in custody for a period of 15 days as the Maldives Police Service continues its investigation into the matter.
