Maldivian Red Crescent (MRC), which has provided invaluable humanitarian service in the Maldives for 17 years, has commenced efforts to establish its own permanent headquarters to overcome long-standing space constraints. To mark its 17th anniversary, the organization officially launched “The Crescent Tower,” a 14-story development in Hulhumalé. Spanning 70,000 square feet, this modern facility will house the MRC headquarters alongside commercial office spaces, cafes, and restaurants. Conducted in collaboration with First National Finance Corporation, the project has now entered the investment mobilization phase. The revenue generated from this building is expected to grant MRC long-term financial sustainability, reducing its reliance on external aid and ensuring the continuous expansion of its humanitarian services across the Maldives.
