Compared to the previous year, there has been a substantial growth in the number of tourists visiting the Maldives from China and Russia. As of July 18th, the Maldives has welcomed over 1.1 million tourists in total, with China leading as the primary source market. Russia currently holds the second position. Notably, the Chinese market has experienced a growth of 14.7%, while the Russian market has seen an increase of 17%. Among the various accommodation options, resorts remain the most preferred choice for the majority of these visitors.
