A total of 260 Maldivian pilgrims departed for Saudi Arabia this morning on the second flight designated for the 1447 AH Hajj pilgrimage. Facilitated by the “Makkah Route Initiative,” these pilgrims completed their Saudi immigration formalities while still in the Maldives, ensuring a streamlined and convenient journey to Makkah upon their arrival in Jeddah. Under the official quota of 1,000 allocated to the Maldives, the pilgrimage operations are organized across four flights, with the remaining groups scheduled to depart this coming Monday and Tuesday.
