The government’s newly launched “Male’ Taxi” service, aimed at addressing the transportation challenges in the capital, has received overwhelming public support. Inaugurated by President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu on the first of this month, the service is currently offering free promotional trips managed by MTCC to assess operational standards. Citizens have described this initiative as a comprehensive solution to the long-standing difficulties in securing taxi services. In particular, the introduction of compact vehicles capable of navigating Male’s narrow streets has been highlighted as a significant improvement in service quality, providing immense convenience to the public. Consequently, many have expressed their gratitude to the government for the successful implementation of this project.
