Abdul Raheem Abdulla, the Chairperson of the People’s National Congress (PNC), has stated that the party’s recent internal election results demonstrate the public’s profound trust and support for the President’s policies. He highlighted the significant turnout, noting that 85% of the 40,000 eligible members cast their votes across 119 islands, marking an exceptional level of engagement for an internal party election. Furthermore, Abdul Raheem emphasized that the high number of candidates and the peaceful conduct of the election serve as a clear testament to the public’s endorsement of the government’s initiatives and performance.
