Minister Thoriq Ibrahim has held a consultative meeting with the Maldives Association of Tourism Industry (MATI) and major fuel importers to discuss the potential repercussions of the ongoing Middle East instability on the Maldives’ energy sector and tourism industry. The primary objective of this meeting was to evaluate the challenges posed by fluctuating global oil prices and to establish proactive measures to mitigate potential risks. During the discussions, industry stakeholders shared their concerns, and collaborative strategies were explored to ensure economic resilience and stability.
