President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has stated that the completion of the modern redevelopment of Boduthakurufaanu Magu will provide a significant solution to the parking issues in Male’. Under this project, land is being reclaimed along the northern coast of Male’ to construct a two-way asphalt road. Currently, work is underway on the segment extending from the Izzudheen Jetty to the Henveiru Ferry Terminal. This specific area is being developed to include a dedicated parking zone with a capacity for 500 motorcycles. Furthermore, the President highlighted that the government is working to construct parking buildings in various parts of Male’ through the state budget and in collaboration with private developers. These initiatives are expected to reduce road congestion and provide substantial relief to commuters.
