Certificates have been presented to 82 participants who successfully completed the fourth round of the “Young Khatib” training program. With the conclusion of this round, the total number of youths trained under this initiative has now exceeded 600.

Launched under the visionary initiative of President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu, the primary objective of this program is to address the shortage of preachers (Khatibs) across the islands and to nurture a steadfast generation committed to Islamic values. The government has set a target to produce 1,000 young Khatibs and 500 Hafizes (memorizers of the Holy Quran).

In line with these efforts, an official invitation has been extended to Dr. Yasser Al-Dosari, the Imam of Masjid al-Haram in Mecca, to attend a special symposium marking the 900th anniversary of the Maldives embracing Islam.
