Speaking at the Maldives-Sri Lanka Business Forum, President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu emphasized that the government is undertaking significant efforts to foster an investor-friendly and competitive economy in the Maldives. In line with the vision to transform the Maldives into a developed nation by 2040, the President highlighted the modernization of the 40-year-old Foreign Investment Law to create a more secure and reliable environment for investors. Furthermore, reflecting on the long-standing and close relationship between the Maldives and Sri Lanka, he invited sustainable investments that would yield mutual benefits for both nations.
