Minister of Economic Development and Trade, Mohamed Saeed, has provided assurances that petrol and diesel shipments to the Maldives will continue without interruption in the coming days. Accordingly, the delivery schedule for fuel shipments from April through mid-June has now been finalized. Despite the rise in global oil prices due to conflicts in the Middle East, the government has confirmed that STO will maintain uniform fuel pricing across all regions of the Maldives. The Minister further noted that since the Maldives imports its fuel from Oman, the shipments face no direct threat from the closure of key maritime straits.
