
Dr. Abdulla Khaleel has been removed from his post as the Minister of Foreign Affairs, following his resignation earlier today. At the inception of the current administration, Dr. Khaleel initially served as the Minister of Health. However, he was appointed as the Minister of Foreign Affairs on September 30, 2024, during a cabinet reshuffle by the President.
In addition to Dr. Khaleel, several other cabinet members resigned today, including Dr. Aishath Shiham, Minister of Social and Family Development; Dr. Maryam Mariya, Minister of Agriculture and Animal Welfare; Abdulla Nazim Ibrahim, Minister of Health; Ghassan Maumoon, Minister of Defence; and Adam Shareef Umar, Minister of Cities, Local Government and Public Works.
