Captain Hussain Shafeeq has been appointed as the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Maldives Ports Limited (MPL). With a distinguished career spanning over 35 years in the maritime industry, Captain Shafeeq previously served as the first Maldivian Captain of the ‘Mahaa Jarraafu’. He holds advanced academic qualifications in Maritime Science and is highly regarded for his extensive expertise in navigation and vessel operations. His appointment follows the resignation of the former Managing Director, Mohamed Rishwan, on the 6th of this month.
