With over 800,000 tourists visiting the Maldives so far this year, statistics reveal that 25% of these visitors chose to spend their holidays in guesthouses. According to data from the Ministry of Tourism, while resorts remains the primary choice for accommodation, guesthouses have emerged as the second most popular option among travelers. In terms of market performance, China continues to lead as the top source country for arrivals. Furthermore, the vast majority of visitors arrived via air travel, and despite evolving global dynamics, the Maldives is experiencing a consistent upward trend in tourist arrivals.
