The President emphasized that the government’s key objectives include developing sports infrastructure, constructing FIFA-standard pitches, and decentralizing sports to provide opportunities for teams from the atolls to compete in the first division. Furthermore, the administration prioritizes hosting international tournaments in the Maldives to create more opportunities for Maldivian athletes. Observed annually on May 25th, this day is internationally recognized to promote peace, cooperation, and mutual respect through the sport of football.
