Temperatures have risen across the Maldives, with the average ‘feels-like’ temperature currently exceeding 35.5 degrees Celsius. The highest temperature yesterday morning was recorded in Malé. While the Maldives typically experiences warmer weather from January to June, the current low wind speeds and high humidity levels have significantly intensified the perceived heat. Although the ongoing Fasbadhuruva nakaiy (traditional seasonal period) is characterized by clear skies and high temperatures, weather patterns are expected to shift with the onset of the Southwest Monsoon next month.
