Maldives Airports Company Limited (MACL) has today introduced taxi services directly in front of the Domestic Terminal (Terminal 2) at Velana International Airport. Under this new arrangement, four dedicated slots have been allocated for dropping off passengers at the arrival area, while five slots have been designated for picking up passengers at the departure area of Terminal 2. This initiative aims to address long-standing public concerns regarding the inconvenience of domestic passengers having to walk to Terminal 1 to access taxi services. MACL staff will be stationed in the area to manage traffic flow and ensure smooth operations.
