In a significant move to address the persistent parking challenges and vehicle registration constraints in the Greater Male’ Area, the government yesterday officially launched a project to develop modern parking structures. Carried out in collaboration with private contractors, this initiative involves the construction of multiple parking buildings across various locations in Hulhumale’.
A key component of this project is a 13-story parking complex in Hulhumale’ Phase 1, being developed by Batch Construction. The government aims to complete these facilities within the next two years. Once operational, these buildings are expected to substantially alleviate street congestion by providing secure and ample parking spaces for a vast number of cars and motorcycles.
