The Minister of Construction and Infrastructure, Dr. Abdulla Muththalib, officially inaugurated the construction of 50 housing units and the third phase of the road development project in GDh. Thinadhoo yesterday.
The road development project, contracted to the Road Development Corporation (RDC), involves the asphalt paving of a 19.3-kilometer road network and the installation of an integrated drainage system. Simultaneously, the housing project, awarded to Swift Engineering, entails the construction of 50 three-bedroom apartments. This project is scheduled for completion within a period of 14 months.
Furthermore, the Ministry of Housing, Land, and Urban Development has confirmed that the evaluation process for the 1,022 applications received for the previously constructed 200 housing units in Thinadhoo is nearing completion. The official list of beneficiaries will be publicized once the evaluation is finalized.
