The Chief Judicial Administrator, Amjad Musthafa, has officially resigned from his post. In his resignation letter addressed to the President of the Judicial Service Commission (JSC), Amjad did not specify a reason for his departure.
Amjad was appointed to the position in February last year, having secured the highest marks among the candidates who applied for the role. With a distinguished career in public service, he has previously served as the Vice President of the Elections Commission and as the President of the Employment Tribunal. His predecessor, Aishath Rizna, also resigned from the position, citing the lack of a conducive environment to work alongside the JSC.
