True happiness and contentment are not derived solely from worldly material pursuits; rather, they are realized when an individual’s spiritual and psychological needs are fulfilled through the guidance of Islam. Islam is a faith built upon the doctrine of pure Monotheism (Tawhid), noble character, and a just Shari’ah, encompassing comprehensive principles that remain applicable across all eras.
Since the Maldives embraced Islam nine centuries ago, our society has been blessed with peace, unity, and a profound Islamic identity. Furthermore, it has clarified that the true purpose of life is to submit to Allah and strive for success in both this world and the Hereafter.
To show gratitude for this sublime blessing, it is essential to remain steadfast in the faith and to nurture and educate the younger generation correctly, ensuring this sacred trust is passed on to the future. Simultaneously, every Maldivian must resolve and strive to uphold noble character while enjoining what is good and forbidding what is evil.
