Eid is a profound symbol of the Islamic faith. In Islam, there are two primary festivals: Eid al-Fitr and Eid al-Adha. Eid al-Fitr is an occasion of unity celebrated by Muslims upon the completion of the spiritual journey of Ramadan. The day commences with the congregational Eid prayer. Adhering to the Sunnah, it is encouraged to perform ritual purification (ghusl), wear one’s finest attire, recite the Takbir, and exchange heartfelt greetings.
Eid should be celebrated with a steadfast commitment to prayer, avoidance of all forbidden acts, and a spirit of sincere obedience to Allah. It is essential to remain consistent in performing righteous deeds even after Ramadan and to prioritize the observance of the six voluntary fasts of Shawwal.
