Eid-al-Fitr prayers were observed in large congregations across the Maldives at 7:00 AM yesterday morning. In the capital city of Malé, congregational prayers were held at four designated locations, with President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu joining the prayers held at the Maafannu Stadium.
The Eid sermon, which emphasized Islamic unity, highlighted that Eid is a day of Takbir and a blessed reward for those who observed the fast during Ramadan. Following the completion of the Eid prayers, joyful festivities and traditional sports activities have commenced and are currently ongoing in various islands across the country.
