The Ministry of Housing, Land, and Urban Development is preparing to finalize agreements with five local Maldivian companies this week for the construction of 1,000 housing units in Hulhumalé Phase 2. Under this project, each company will be tasked with the development of 200 units, which include 60 two-bedroom and 140 three-bedroom apartments.
The apartments designed for this project aim to provide more spacious living areas and superior finishing standards compared to previous social housing initiatives. Furthermore, additional housing projects are currently in various stages of progress across the Greater Malé Region, involving both local and international contractors.
