Under the government’s housing policy, the foundation stone has been laid for 1,190 housing units in Hulhumale’, a project contracted to Beijing Urban Construction Group (BUCG). Speaking at the ceremony, Jang Xiao-Xuan, the special representative of BUCG’s Chairman, highlighted that this initiative is a significant step towards providing modern and affordable housing for the citizens under the leadership of President Dr. Muizzu. He further noted that the project is expected to alleviate housing costs in the Greater Male’ area and enhance the overall quality of life for residents. BUCG, which has a track record of successfully completing major infrastructure projects in the Maldives, including the airport runway and the seaplane terminal, expressed their gratitude to the Maldivian government for the continued trust and confidence placed in the company.
