The Maldives today celebrated the arrival of its one-millionth tourist for the year, Ms. Almudena Antonio Esparza from Spain, with a grand reception at Velana International Airport. The ceremony, organized by the Ministry of Tourism and relevant stakeholders, was attended by Minister Ibrahim Faisal. This significant milestone was achieved ahead of schedule compared to the previous year, when the one-millionth tourist arrived on June 27th. Despite the challenges posed by global shifts, the government remains committed to its continuous efforts to strengthen and expand the Maldivian tourism sector.
