
President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has declared 2028 as a year of pivotal achievement within his strategic vision to transform the Maldives into a developed nation by 2040. Speaking at the official Independence Day ceremony, the President highlighted that his administration has successfully completed 590 projects within its first eight months, marking a substantial advancement compared to the performance of the previous two administrations.
The President’s roadmap aims to ensure that by 2028, every island is equipped with essential services, including integrated water and sewerage systems, advanced healthcare services, modern educational facilities, and reliable electricity. Furthermore, the President provided assurances that numerous projects spanning housing and economic development would be finalized, alongside the establishment of airports, CT scan facilities, and dialysis services in every atoll across the Maldives.
