Levan Expresses Dissatisfaction Over Prison Conditions and Meals which were chicken curry and flatbread

Levan Ali Nasir, a journalist from the “Adhadhu” news outlet, has voiced concerns regarding the conditions of his incarceration following his release after serving a 10-day sentence for contempt of court. Levan characterized the prison environment as unfit for human habitation, noting that he was required to sleep on a mat spread across the floor. He further highlighted issues with the cell’s facilities, stating that the lack of separation between the toilet and shower areas resulted in the entire cell becoming damp.

Regarding the quality of food provided, Levan complained about the lack of flavor, specifically noting that the chicken curry and flatbread (roshi) served for breakfast lacked any discernible taste of chicken.

However, Levan’s remarks have drawn significant criticism on social media. Many users pointed out that a prison is not a luxury resort intended for comfort. Furthermore, some critics argued that providing Levan with a bed—while other inmates were allegedly sleeping on the floor—constituted a form of preferential treatment.
